Due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus), UIUC has adopted strict guidelines for reopening. All persons on campus grounds must wear masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Registered student organizations, research groups, sports teams, and social organizations are encouraged to meet remotely whenever possible. Students and faculty are required to maintain good hygiene and avoid nonessential travel and social interaction in order to limit the spread of COVID-19.
The Illinois Student Government has suspended all in-person activities until further notice. If you are a member of a committee, contact the committee leadership for information about meeting times. All ISG members and faculty are encouraged to avoid in-person meetings unless absolutely necessary. Please do your part to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Note: Most meetings and events are indefinitely suspended until further notice.
Register to Vote:
The ISG believes in the principle of a strong and fair democracy. College campuses generally have low voter turnout rates, but the ISG is aiming to change that statistic. All eligible voters are encouraged to register and vote in the upcoming local, state, and federal elections. Eligible voters with an Illinois voter registration who live in another state can request a mail-in ballot. Casting a ballot for the first has never been easier; for most people, the process involves filling out an online form and possibly dropping off a document at the local post office.
